Ropes and Necks

Oh hi there. It's been a while.

No point making excuses,  it's a New Year and who knows, new habits might just form....and anyway, there are two groovy necklace aficionados I need to share with you.

I saw these beauties via The Design Files Daily today - hand made from neoprene and rope by a couple of Melbourne lasses who go by the name of Witu (surely I can call them lasses when I am 15+ years older than they are?).

I love the mix of glamourous style with industrial materials in these pieces. The Witu range includes clutch bags, must-have backpacks in the best colour combos, and dip dyed totes.

So, seeing this daily post of inspiration from Lucy at The Design Files, (is there anyone out there who doesn't subscribe to her blog?) it reminded me of a beautiful necklace of the rope variety that I received for Christmas (thanks Vivo!).

It came via another Melbourne marvel, Emily Dornbusch who has a business called Emeldo and my goodness I'm not exaggerating when I tell you it took me AGES to decide on which of Emily's creations to share with you here. I can't get enough of the fluro this summer. Will it be here next year??  hmmm, I'm doubtful.
